Claim to fame: "Take My Breath Away" was the first and last #1 hit single by Berlin, before the band broke up. The song won the Academy Award as well as the Golden Globe in 1986 for Best Original Song, and went on to top both the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart as well as the UK Top 40.
Where are they now? Berlin was featured on the VH1 show, Bands Reunited where all original members agreed to reunite, not only as friends, but as a band. They played one show at The Roxy in California to a sold-out crowd. On July 2013 it was announced that a new album called "Animal" would be released on 17 September 2013.

Hate that they are referred to as One Hit Wonders- they were very active in the new wave scene and "No More Words", "Riding on the Metro", and "*** (I'm A...)" are classics of the genre. "Take My Breath Away" was indeed a monster hit and has overshadowed a richer career than is acknowledged here.
