Claim to fame: Best known simply as Dr.Ruth, the diminutive sex psychologist became a cultural phenomenon in the 1980s by making wide use of the mass media to change peoples' ideas of sexual education and sexual literacy.

Where are they now? Currently Dr. Ruth is an Adjunct Professor at N.Y.U., an Associate Fellow of Calhoun College at Yale University, a Fellow of Butler College at Princeton University and a fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine. In addition to continuing her own private practice, she frequently lectures at universities across the country.
