Claim to fame: Laneuville appeared in a number of small roles on both television and in films before hitting it big on St. Elsewhere as the orderly who aspired to become a paramedic, Luther Hawkins. Laneuville had the wits to aspire to directing while on this most creative of televisions shows, directing several episodes and in the process learning how to combine comedy and drama sometimes within the same scene.

Where are they now? Although he made a few acting appearances afterward St. Elsewhere went off the air, Laneuville has more than made his mark as a first rate television director. Among the critically acclaimed series that Laneuville has helmed are Quantum Leap, ER, Gilmore Girls and Lost. He has won one Emmy and two Directors Guild awards for his television directing.
