Claim to fame: She made her career in various broadway productions and due to her looks, as a pinup girl, but her main passion was "to be funny". She is best remembered for her role as Catwoman in the Batman television series.

Where are they now? After Batman she did many TV guest appearences in the 60's and 70's and returned to live stage for Damned Yankees and Dames at Sea. In 1977 she turned entrepreneur and lauched Nudemar Panty Hose. She raised a son in the 80's while still appearing in films and took real estate courses at UCLA. Update Nov/2004 Actor Jim Belushi sues Newmar, his neighbour, alleging Newmar is engaging a campaign of harassment and defamation against him.

Ms. Newmar appeared on the O'Reilly factor just last month as one of the TV icons. She seemed in great spirits, enjoyed talking about her former role, and still looked amazing!
