Kelly McGillis
Claim to fame: She was the luminescent, wholesome beauty who became Harrison Ford's leading lady in the 1985 hit thriller Witness She even gained 30 lbs. and actually hid-out in a real amish home to make her portrayal more realistic. The following year a slimmed-down, blond Kelly resurfaced as Tom Cruise's latest love-interest in the 1986 hit Top Gun. However, the 5'10'' atletic Kelly failed to catch on with Hollywood as a sex-symbol and her promising career soon went into decline. Rescued briefly by her powerful performance as Jodie Foster's no-nonsense attorney in 1988s The Accused
