Claim to fame: Melissa Sue Anderson is an American actress. She began with commercials, then moved on to TV shows, after school specials and movies. She appeared in many popular shows - Bewitched, The Brady Bunch, Shaft, Little House on the Prairie (she played Mary Ingalls from 1974 to 1982), Murder She Wrote, Alfred Hitchcock Presents and the Love Boat.
In 1979 she won an Emmy Award for an ABC Afternoon Special entitled Which Mother Is Mine?.
