Michael Anthony
Claim to fame: Was the bass player for Van Halen, one of the best in the business.
Michael Anthony
Where are they now? Owns a cafe, races cars and does some bass playing, such as a side project with Sammy Hagar in the mid-90's called "Los Tres Gusanos". He collects hot sauce and watches and is married to his high-school sweet heart and has two daughters.
Update 2004: Currently touring with a reunited Van Halen (the Sammy Hagar configuration).

Michael Anthony will not be taking part in what seems to be an impending Van Halen reunion featuring original front man David Lee Roth.

True to form with Anthony's inclusion in "The Other Guys" section of the website, he is working with VH other frontman, Sammy Hagar in a project called The Other Half while he will be replaced as bassist in the reunited VH by Wolfgang "No Nepotism Involved" Van Halen, Eddie's 16-year old son. Now that is a big pair of shoes to fill I don't care who your daddy is.

Let's see if they all place nice together at their upcoming induction into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame

I was listening to the radio the other day and recognized Sammy Hagar singing but couldn't place the song. Was it an old Ronnie Montrose number? No, a couple days later I heard it again and it turned out to be Chickenfoot, a new fangled "supergroup" comprised of Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani and drummer Chad Smith (ex-Red Hot Chili Peppers)

Depends on who you ask. He was George Michael's "sidekick", "partner", "boy toy", whatever. Towards the end of Wham! I heard his guitar wasn't even plugged in. Who knows.
