Where are they now? After the TV show ended, he continued a long career as an actor, director, voice overs and musicals. In England after the show he starred in the musical The Point and directed Michel Palin's feature film The Box and directed music videos. After 12 years in the UK he returned to the USA and continued directing for Disney Studios. He re-united with the rest of the original Monkees for a tour in 1986 and again for a 30 year reunion in 1996. Most recently he has been cast as the protagonist hero's villianous father Zoser in Disney's Aida alongside Destiny's Child, Michelle WilliamsUpdate January/2005: Currently a morning DJ on CBS 101.1, an oldies station in New York. Ex-Monkee Micky Dolenz played Charlemagne in the production of "Pippin" in Philadelphia last month. Also performed the role in Wilmington, Delaware last October, 06.
