Claim to fame: Thomas hails from Stourport-on-Severn, England, UK. Born 29 December 1941, he is best known as the flautist and as a singer and composer in the rock band, The Moody Blues.

Although Raymond Thomas most commonly plays tambourine and flute, he is actually a multi-instrumentalist, playing various other woodwind instruments, such as Harmonica and the oboe. Thomas's career began in 1960 and he retired at the end of 2002. This information was gained from Wikipedia.

He has a facebook page managed by his wife. Best group ever! The Moody Blues. Still going strong. Ray also released 2 solo albums. Both very good.
