Claim to fame: Thomas hails from Stourport-on-Severn, England, UK. Born 29 December 1941, he is best known as the flautist and as a singer and composer in the rock band, The Moody Blues.

Although Raymond Thomas most commonly plays tambourine and flute, he is actually a multi-instrumentalist, playing various other woodwind instruments, such as Harmonica and the oboe. He has a facebook page managed by his wife. Best group ever! The Moody Blues. Still going strong. Ray also released 2 solo albums. Both very good.
