In 1979 Video Killed The Radio Star went #1 (the first #1 hit for Island Records), it also has the distinction of being the first video ever aired on MTV.
They both went on to become members of the progressive rock monolith Yes before parting company. Downes went on to join the 80’s “supergroup” Asia while Horn produced records and founded the ZTT Records label.
