Claim to fame: From 1975 to 1979, he was Arnold Horshack on the highly popular sit-com Welcome Back, Kotter. "I was doing New York theatre when I was asked to audition for Horshack. My agent said, 'They want four tough guys from New York.' I was 118 pounds and most of it was on my nose. I saw the name was Arnold Horshack and I made the laugh up on the spot.
Where are they now? Today, Ron Palillo sports a new look and an exciting, busy life as an actor, writer, teacher, artist and producer. After the series ended in 1979, Palillo says, "I lost ten years. Because of typecasting, there was nothing I could do." He set out reinventing himself. "I got a nose job, started working out, took the curl out of my hair -- I just felt like I had to do something."
Aug 2004:He recently did a low budget horror film last year in Connecticut called "Trees 2: Root of All Evil."

Played the sheepish misplaced company clerk on M*A*S*H (before Klinger got the gig). It's no surprise he got his start in showbiz in the stage musical playing Charlie Brown.
