Johnny Bench's claim to fame
Best known as a member of the Cincinnati Reds during the Big Red Machine era, Johnny Bench is arguably the greatest baseball catcher of all time. Elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in January 1989, his honors include National League Rookie of the Year (1968), National League Most Valuable Player (1970 & 1972), World Series MVP (1976), 14-time All-Star, and 10 Gold Gloves. Johnny keeps busy as a broadcaster, entertainer and motivational speaker. He takes advantage of his celebrity status by aiding in a wide variety of charitable and civic causes. Johnny has recently joined with Harbrew Imports Ltd. to produce a 5 Year Old Blended Scotch Whiskey, aptly named Bench 5.
