They are mainly known for their 1990 hit (Can't Live Without Your) Love and Respect. Which went #1 in the US.

They are also listed in the Guiness Book Of World Records as the third generation of "the only family in history to have unleashed three successive generations of #1 hitmakers

Nelson's grandparents were Ozzy and Harriet Nelson (yes, that "Ozzy and Harriet"), and their father was Ricky Nelson (although I seem to recall that in the 90's their father was often mis-reported as Willie Nelson)

They waited five years before releasing their follow-up album in 1995 and then left Geffen Records to start their own label Stone Canyon Records

They have released numerous records since and still actively tour, in response to their fans wishes they have added many of their father's numbers to their repertoire.

They also cut their hair.

April, 2005:
Gun lives in Nashville, TN now where he is still single, refurbishing a huge beautiful Victorian mansion and of course, still tours with brother Matthew.

Matthew is married for several years to Yvette Nelson (Frederick's of Hollywood model, and actress/singer) He just formed a new band called RED37 that has been hailed as the next BIG hit, they have opened shows for Styx and 38 Special. He resides in Studio City, CA with his wife.
