Claim to fame: Although he had a lot of comedy work under his belt before then (i.e. Laugh-In, Sonny And Cher), Murray Langston's career hit a critical mass when he appeared on the Gong Show. He needed the money and didn't want his friends to know, so he put a bag over his head, became "The Unknown Comic" and it took off, resulting in over 150 subsequent appearances on the show and a cult following.

Where are they now? He did a lot of behind the scenes and comedy work thereafter, producing Las Vegas' first all-comedy show and produced a cable show "The Unknown Comedy Hour" for Playboy TV. He wrote a couple screenplays starring Linda Blair: "Night Patrol" and "Up Your Alley", the former also starred Yakof Smirnoff and the latter starred Ruth Buzzi. After marrying and fathering a daughter, he divorced and retired from show biz to raise her. He is now coming out of retirement, appearing in the George Clooney flick "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" and "Levity" with Billy Bob Thornton. He is also working on a series of comedy books and CD's.
